High Performance Computing
The high performance computing team within the Informatics department of Merck Frosst Canada Ltd. provides the infrastructure to support the computational chemistry function of the Merck Frosst Centre for Therapeutic Research.
The Informatics team is also developing the company's capabilities in computational biology, an emerging trend in the pharmaceutical industry. The role of the high performance computing group is to select the best algorithms for a research need, provide and support the necessary servers, network, and computational tools, and to write software as required.
